Religious Education

At Childwall Valley Primary School, we recognise the importance that RE plays in preparing our children for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.  Through using the Liverpool SACRE’s Locally Agreed Syllabus, we offer a curriculum which is balanced and broadly-based, which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at our school and of society.

Using the objectives of the Liverpool SACRE’s Locally Agreed Syllabus, at Childwall Valley Primary School, we encourage all pupils and teachers to experience RE as an exciting subject that feeds into an understanding of what it means to live in Liverpool, promoting harmony and good community relationships.

Using the Agree Syllabus we want to create RE lessons that are challenging, inspiring and engaging to everyone.  With this we will promote interactive, creative and experimental learning that promotes community cohesions and supports fundamental British Values. We want to enable pupils to develop religious literacy and conceptual understanding of what is means to be a person with religious and non-religious belief and ways of living.
